Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you. We wish we could be with family in New Hope - we miss seeing Aunt Eva and cousin Karen along with the rest of the "Onstad" clan. We also miss being with the Tucker gang in Marshfield, and the Vogel-Farley gang out in Boston. Hope to see everyone soon. We are enjoying the girls - they are so big and so much fun. Alyssia says the funniest things - yesterday she told me that Grandpa was a stinker - just like her, Stinker Augenstine. Today she ran through the living room to hide and as she came through, she said "it's great to have friends". A bookshelf had fallen apart in their dining room and as Dan tried to fix it, Alyssia was telling about some gentleman who had been there causing it to fall apart. Such big words and she seems to know how to use them. Tomorrow morning, Leslie, Lynn and Dan plan to take turns going shopping for deals. We will head home later in the day. Well, so far the Packers are beating the Lions. Kylie has her #4 Favre shirt from his Packer days. She still loves him. I guess I need to buy the other girls jerseys of some kind. Dan is a Giant fan and they also like Peyton from their Indiana days. Guess I could buy something for the baby who will join us by Christmas. Enjoy your meals!!!

Operation Christmas Child

Good morning. Today is the beginning of Operation Christmas Child. We pray that many boxes will come in. We have done over 100 at church!!!! Our weather continues to be nice. Temps are in the 40's-50 and will continue to be like that all week long. Lynn begins work on Katie and Jason's home today. My prayers are with cousins Beth, Laura, Ed, Frank, and Gordon and Uncle Orville as they will be laying their Mom/wife to rest soon. Aunt Lillie passed away last week. I am not sure if she will be buried in Florida or at a later date back in the Midwest near family. The sun will soon peak over the horizon so I need to get ready for work. Have a great day!!

My latest trip to IL

Kylie and all the K-4th grade classes sang many songs! Excellent!!
Following the program at the main building, we went to Kylie's school. She went right to work on a bookmark. We did hand prints together, played Bingo, and listened to some of the things they are learning.
The girls and I made a birthday cake for their dad; Leslie and the girls made the frosting - YUM!
Dan's dad and Hannah and Blake came from Indiana - great fun for the kids! Here they are playing when it is nearly dark out on the slide and in the sand box.
