Leslie and Natalie

I love this picture of Leslie and Natalie! Hurray, I now know how to upload my
camera pictures to Picasa online, and then upload them to my blog. It only
took me a month to figure this all out.

Lynn and Natalie

Here is Lynn with Natalie at the camp. What a change for her in a month! She is much less afraid of people and talking more.

Alyssia

This is a picture of Alyssia when I visited the family in June.

Last trip to Polo

Here are pictures of the girls from our most recent trip to Polo. Lynn was able to make the trip with me. We were able to spend one day doing some shopping with Leslie and the girls, Lynn got to bake a cake with Kylie and Alyssia, we went with the entire summer staff to their county fair in Oregon, attended church with them in Oregon, and then watched the girls that Sunday while Leslie was busy with camper registrations, and Dan was busy with the summer staff making sure all the buildings were ready, and schedules were handed out. We even got to swim in the pool - always feels so good, so refreshing.

More yard pictures

Here are two more pictures of the yard. See how green everything is!!!! Even the Rhubarb is growing and lovely.

August news

I took some pictures from around the yard to show how things have grown. I have never seen our yard so green especially in August. We have had a lot of rain all summer long. Our drought has eased considerably. Rivers and streams are full - we even had flooding, roads washed out and some bridges damaged last week due to heavy rains. We have water standing in the low spots in the front yard due to more rain this week. I did get the lawn mowed and it looks great! Lynn got the riding mower fixed - a bearing and bearing casing were cracked or broken, causing one blade to cut high, while the other one scraped the ground - it looked like a checker board - UGLY! I so enjoy having the mower working right. We got a break from the heat and humidity for a few days, but the humidity has returned and today the heat returns. It is to be 90 degrees tomorrow - Sunday, August 22. Some neighbors are digging up their root crops due to rotting or threat of rotting. Our Rhubarb plants look great - they are usually done this time of the summer. Apples are ready to pick - I made Apple crisp the other day.
