Good morning world!! A friend from church posted the Bible verse from Romans 12:21 - " do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good" Excellent verse for these times when we are all angry at our leaders - local and national - and tend to lash out when things don't go our way.
We are in the midst of a heat wave - today could reach 97. Thankfully yesterday clouds helped keep things cooler here in the house and in the barn. We had storms come through last evening. While @ work, we had a tornado warning, so told the few patrons we had to head to the lower level if they felt safer. We closed the doors to the library but kept the patrons already there safe inside. We had sent home our summer intern just after she arrived to be sure she was safely home. The power went off twice - shutting the computers down each time. It messed up the Pharos login monitors and would not reconnect. There was one family on the Internet and it worked for them. Hopefully today they can get them going.
Alot of rain fell last night and lightning hit many places including our barn. It will make things more humid today with all this moisture. The lawn has really grown in the last few days since I last mowed it. I mowed a bit yesterday but the grass was still wet with dew. Lynn has to jump it for me so I can only mow if he is around to help me; maybe later this morning before it is toot hot.
