Happy New Year to all!

We just returned home from a week long trip to Illinois to be with our family for Christmas and then

to southern Iowa to visit  an aunt and uncle of mine and their oldest daughter and family.

We got to see the house that inspired the Grant Wood painting. We saw the cemetery where Black Hawk was buried. We played lots of games and lots of catching up on our lives. 

It was so good to see our children and grandchildren. 

In the midst of all this fun, we learned of the passing of a dear lady we have known for so long. Others are dealing with ill health or other struggles. 

Only God knows what 2016 will hold. Only He knows what lives will leave this earth or what other struggles lie ahead. 

May we depend on Him for our daily lives!
